Prize-winning six-part mini-series made for Spanish television and drawing on the expert knowledge of Lorca biographer Ian Gibson, Bardem’s expert reconstruction of the period leading up to Lorca’s death in August 1936 meticulously depicts the chaos and fear of the early stages of the Spanish Civil War.
